The European Hot Tub Suite Price Index

What does it actually cost to book a hotel room with your own hot tub or jacuzzi in it? We price every suite in our directory, so we added it up. The short answer: a median of €181 a night for two, and the same soak costs 6.7 times more in Capri than in St Julian's.

What we found

• 26 destinations have a median under €150 a night for a room with its own tub, led by St Julian's, Goreme, Prague, Olbia.
• By region, Crete is the gentlest on the wallet (€103 median) and Amalfi Coast, Sorrento and Capri the steepest (€303).
• By tub type: hot tub €179, jacuzzi €151, plunge pool €225 (median per night).
• Most of our inventory is in Greece, and the Greek islands are where the private terrace hot tub has become standard. Mainland cities have far fewer to choose from, so it pays to look early.

How we worked it out

Every suite in the index is one we've checked by hand: the jacuzzi, hot tub or plunge pool is inside that room or on its private terrace, never a shared spa. Prices are the lowest all-in nightly rate for two adults returned by our booking partner at our price check on 20 October 2026, for stays roughly a month ahead. We use the median rather than the average so one palace suite doesn't skew a whole island. Rates move with the season, so treat this as a snapshot and check your own dates on each suite page.
